Short Description
Video2Photo can capture individual frames from a video source, such as a DV camcorder, Web cam, or from a local video file (AVI, DivX or MPEG). You
can play the movie from within the application and easily select individual
frames or sections to be extracted. In addition, you can choose to apply a
variety of effects or processing options to all or selected frames,
including color corrections, cropping, old photo effect, and more. The
result can be exported as HTML thumbnail gallery, Flash file (SWF), AVI
movie, or individual image files.

The interface is easy to
use, even for non-technical users, and uses a step-by-step wizard to guide
you through the process.
Supported Input Sources
Video2Photo supports the following Media Sources:
- Snapshots from a Digital Camcorder (e.g. miniDV or Digital8),
Analog Camcorder (VHS, Video/Hi8), TV/SAT Tuner or USB Web Cam
- Single pictures or sequence of pictures from a video file (AVI,
WMV, DV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2*, MPEG-4/DivX*, Video CD, S-Video CD*, DVD* or
other video formats)
- Single pictures of sequences of pictures using various graphic
file formats (jpg, bmp, png, tga, pcx, gif, etc.)
- Automatic or manual Snapshots taken from a live video
(internet stream or local video files AVI, MPEG, WMF/ASF)
*) - Certain Video Decoders need to purchased
(MPEG-2 usually comes with you DVD Player)
some other need to be downloaded (DivX/MPEG4).
Important Notice!
Capturing video snapshots from
any kind of video sources is a problematic task (especially from DVD/MPEG2
videos). Therefore it is recommended that you download the application,
evaluate it on your computer and if everything works as described, later
buy it. Video2Photo strongly depends on the installed video decoders.
Certain movies requires specific video decoders which you may not have
installed in your system.
Video2Photo package doesn’t include any video decoder.
Don't forget to
try it before buy
it!
Video2Photo frame capture strongly depends from
your computer configuration.
It may happen that you cannot take snapshots from certain
movie files (e.g. private DVD's) because of an incompatible decoder.

Supported Output formats
Video2Photo can export to the following formats:
- Pictures for print in various picture formats (e.g. JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TGA)
- Web Gallery (in HTML format with thumbnails, ready for web
publishing)
- Macromedia Shockwave Files as presentation or movie (SWF)
- Windows AVI with compatible Video for Windows Codecs (DivX,
XVid, MPEG-4, Indeo5, Cinepak or other installed codecs).
